The real secret to producing more web content is mixing up the formats. About, how-to and FAQ articles are fine, but there is a whole wide world of writing. Other types of formats not only provide additional information for readers, but they can be fun to write.

A decision or a pro and con formatted article provides two perspectives on a subject to help the reader make make a choice. This type of article should avoid personal opinion, stay with the facts, and include expert resources.

Readers love to take quizzes and writers should incorporate this format into their stable of work. It is a fun way to present facts and give readers a chance to test themselves.

The best thing about alist format is its versatility. The list can be “the best,” “most popular” or “things to do” of whatever the subject. But this article should not be a list alone. Each item on the list must include an explanation or point.
